Service Pro Titans recently completed a water source heat pump replacement in Chicago, IL. The client originally called because the system stopped heating and cooling properly.  We replaced the old unit with a new custom Trane heat pump.

Upon arrival, our technician performed a complete diagnostic inspection. First, we tested electrical components and refrigerant pressures. Next, we inspected the blower motor, controls, and compressor operation. During testing, we discovered several major mechanical problems. Most importantly, the compressor showed severe failure symptoms and could not operate correctly.

Additionally, the older heat pump showed signs of long-term wear and reduced efficiency. Because of these issues, repair costs continued to increase. Therefore, the client decided replacing the system made better financial sense.
