HVAC Services in Lansing, IL
Cook County’s south suburb on the Indiana state line — comfort built for Lansing’s homes
Lansing sits at the far south edge of Cook County, wedged against the Indiana border where it meets Hammond and Munster. Most of the village’s homes — ranches, bungalows, Cape Cods, and split-levels — went up in the postwar building boom, with a median year built of 1966. That means a lot of Lansing furnaces, boilers, and duct systems are already on their second or third replacement, and some are overdue. Service Pro Titans brings true upfront, flat-rate pricing and EPA-certified, background-checked techs to every corner of the village, from Oak Glen to Bernice.

Lansing’s Trusted Heating, Cooling & Indoor Air Quality Specialists
Lansing is a village of just over 29,000 people built on the old Calumet Shoreline — the flat, clay-rich lakebed left behind when glacial Lake Chicago retreated. That same clay once fed four working brickyards that shipped bricks into Chicago for decades; today the clay pits are filled in, but the flat, heavy-clay ground is still under every basement and slab in town. Nearly all of Lansing’s housing dates from after World War II, with a median build year of 1966, which means a lot of ranches, bungalows, Cape Cods, and split-levels are due for furnace and AC replacement — or at least a hard look at original ductwork and boiler piping.
Homes without existing ductwork — common in Lansing’s older boiler-heated housing near Oak Glen and Bernice — are strong candidates for ductless mini-split systems, which add cooling and zoned comfort without tearing into walls or ceilings. For homes that still run on radiators, we handle boiler repair and replacement alongside standard furnace work. And with humid Southland summers and clay-heavy basements, indoor air quality upgrades — dehumidification, ventilation, filtration — are worth a look for older Lansing homes and additions alike. We serve the neighboring south suburbs too, from South Holland and Calumet City to Lynwood and Glenwood.
HVAC Services for Every Lansing Home
From Ridge Road ranches to newer builds near the state line, here’s how we keep Lansing comfortable year-round.
-
Heating & Furnaces
Cook County winters push well below zero, and Lansing’s median-1966 housing means plenty of aging furnaces are due for a look. We repair and replace gas furnaces sized for exactly this kind of Southland winter.
-
Air Conditioning
Hot, humid summers push AC systems hard. We repair and install cooling for the ranches, bungalows, and split-levels that make up most of Lansing’s housing stock.
-
Boilers & Water Heaters
Lansing’s older housing near Oak Glen and Bernice still leans on boiler heat and radiators. Our techs service and replace boiler systems and the water heaters that share their mechanical rooms.
-
Ductless Mini-Splits
No ductwork? No problem. Ductless mini-splits are a natural fit for boiler-heated Lansing homes that never had central air installed.
-
Repair & Maintenance
Emergency service when a furnace fails on a sub-zero night, plus the Titan Comfort Plan for two tune-ups a year, priority scheduling, and 15% off repairs — no contracts.
-
Indoor Air Quality
Between clay-heavy soil and older basements, humidity and air quality matter in Lansing homes. We install whole-home dehumidifiers, ventilation, and filtration systems.
From Brickyard Clay to Ford’s Airfield: Lansing’s Housing Has Two Origin Stories
Long before Lansing was a suburb, it was a brickyard town. The village sits on the ancient Calumet Shoreline, the flat clay lakebed left behind when glacial Lake Chicago retreated — and that blue clay was good enough to build a business on. Between 1887 and the early 1900s, four brickyards operated in and around Lansing, with the Harlan yard alone reportedly shipping around 45 rail cars of brick a day into Chicago during the city’s post-Fire rebuilding. The clay pits are long filled in — Lansing’s History Plaza at Burnham and Ridge now commemorates the industry — but the same flat, heavy clay ground is still under every basement and slab in the village, which is part of why moisture control and equipment placement matter here.
The other half of Lansing’s origin story is airborne. In 1923, Henry Ford bought 1,400 acres here to build an airfield connecting his south Chicago operations to Detroit, and in 1927 his architect Albert Kahn designed the hangar that still stands today at Lansing Municipal Airport — now a National Register landmark. Ford’s hangar went up while Lansing was still mostly farmland; the real building boom came after World War II, when the village grew from about 4,450 residents in 1940 toward the nearly 30,000 it has today. That postwar wave is why Lansing’s median home dates to around 1966 — meaning most furnaces, boilers, and duct systems here are already on their second or third replacement, often layered onto original 1960s ductwork that’s never been reassessed.
