Mount Prospect’s Trusted Heating, Cooling & Indoor Air Quality Specialists
Mount Prospect’s population barely topped 300 residents in 1920; by 1960 it had grown past 18,000, and by 2000 the village had reached its peak of roughly 56,000 residents living among the nearly 22,800 homes that stand today. That means the overwhelming majority of Mount Prospect’s housing dates from the mid-twentieth century onward — a huge wave of furnaces, boilers, and cooling equipment installed in the same few decades, much of which is now due for replacement or a full AC upgrade.
Downtown Mount Prospect grew up around its Union Pacific Northwest Line Metra stop, while employers like CVS Caremark and Robert Bosch Tool anchor a light-industrial and commercial base near the Randhurst corridor that needs dependable commercial HVAC service alongside residential comfort work. Whether you’re in a decades-old single-family home or a business off Rand Road, our technicians know how Mount Prospect’s building stock ages — and what it needs to keep running efficiently. Regular maintenance through the Titan Comfort Plan is the cheapest way to stretch the life of equipment from any era.
Complete HVAC Solutions for Mount Prospect Homes and Businesses
From downtown storefronts to postwar homes near Prospect Heights and Elk Grove Village, here’s how we keep Mount Prospect comfortable year-round.
-
Heating & Furnaces
Mount Prospect’s frigid winters put real strain on furnaces installed during the village’s postwar building boom. We repair and replace furnaces of every age and brand, fast.
-
Air Conditioning
Central air wasn’t standard in Mount Prospect’s earliest homes — many owners are still retrofitting older systems or replacing aging condensers. We handle both repair and full AC installation.
-
Boilers & Water Heaters
Some of Mount Prospect’s older homes near downtown still run on boiler heat and radiators. We service and replace boilers and water heaters so hot-water heat keeps working through January’s coldest nights.
-
Ductless Mini-Splits
Finishing a room above the garage or converting a three-season porch? Ductless mini-splits deliver targeted heating and cooling without tearing into walls for new ductwork.
-
Repair & Maintenance
Join the Titan Comfort Plan for two seasonal tune-ups a year, 15% off repairs, and priority scheduling — plus same-day emergency service when a Mount Prospect winter night takes down your furnace.
-
Indoor Air Quality
Newer, tightly sealed construction near Randhurst Village and older homes with original ductwork both benefit from better filtration and humidity control.
The Village Where Air Conditioning Made History
When Randhurst Center opened in Mount Prospect on August 16, 1962, it wasn’t just an early enclosed shopping mall — at the time, it was billed as the largest fully air-conditioned enclosed space in the entire United States. Designed by mall pioneer Victor Gruen in a distinctive triangular layout, the million-square-foot center put Wieboldt’s, Carson Pirie Scott, and The Fair under one massive climate-controlled roof, at a moment when central air conditioning was still a novelty for most American homes and businesses.
That same postwar stretch transformed Mount Prospect itself: the village’s population exploded from 349 residents in 1920 to nearly 19,000 by 1960, and most of its roughly 22,800 homes were built during that same air-conditioning-age boom. Randhurst has since been rebuilt as the open-air Randhurst Village, but many of the furnaces, ducts, and cooling systems installed in Mount Prospect homes during that original building wave are still in service today — well past the 15-to-20-year lifespan manufacturers design for. If your system dates back further than you can remember, it’s worth a professional look before the next heat wave or cold snap.
