HVAC Services in Wayne, IL
Comfort for the village a Percheron horse farm made famous
Service Pro Titans provides heating, cooling, and indoor air quality service throughout Wayne, IL — a village of about 2,300 residents straddling the DuPage-Kane county line, built around Oaklawn Farm, the 19th-century operation described as once the world’s largest Percheron importing and breeding farm. That legacy survives in two National Register historic districts, the turreted Dunham Castle, and an equestrian character that still shapes the village’s multi-acre lots today. Our EPA-certified, background-checked technicians know what a 19th-century farmhouse needs versus a modern multi-zone estate — with upfront, flat-rate pricing on every job.

Wayne’s Trusted Heating, Cooling & Indoor Air Quality Specialists
Wayne incorporated on September 19, 1958, for one reason: to gain the zoning power to stay rural, after more than a decade of informal planning by the volunteer Wayne Community Association. The result is a village where history is thick on the ground — the 53-building Wayne Village Historic District and the 11-building Oaklawn Farm Historic District both sit on the National Register, and the Little Home Church by the Wayside has served the community since 1871. Homes of that vintage often still run legacy heat, so our heating team handles everything from modern furnaces to boiler systems that reward a technician who understands the type.
The equestrian character never left, either: DuPage County’s two-acre and Kane County’s four-acre horse-keeping minimums keep lots large, and multi-acre properties with a barn, stable, or guest structure rarely run on one system — which is where ductless mini-splits earn their place. With Pratt’s Wayne Woods and the Illinois Prairie Path wrapping the village in open land, farmland dust and seasonal humidity make indoor air quality equipment more than an afterthought, and routine maintenance keeps every structure on the property ahead of the seasons. We serve the neighboring communities too — St. Charles, West Chicago, Bartlett, and South Elgin are all minutes away.

The Village a Horse Farm Built
Wayne exists because of a horse farm. Mark Wentworth Dunham founded Oaklawn Farm here in 1866 — on land his father Solomon had settled back in 1835 — and built it into what’s described as the largest Percheron importing and breeding operation in the world, earning Dunham the title “Father of the Percheron in North America.” The farm’s fame ran so deep that during the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition, a special excursion train carried fairgoers from Chicago to Wayne just to see the horses. Dunham’s turreted stone castle, built between 1878 and 1882 in the style of a Norman keep, still stands as a private residence inside the Oaklawn Farm Historic District — and the village’s horse-loving streak even extended to its residents: Marguerite Henry, author of a shelf of beloved children’s horse books, lived here for years.
That identity never faded. The Dunham Woods Riding Club, founded in 1934 on the old estate grounds, is still an active club today, and county horse-keeping minimums — two acres in DuPage, four in Kane — keep Wayne’s properties large and its skyline low. For our technicians, the work reflects the place: 19th-century building envelopes alongside barns, stables, and additions layered over a century of use, often spread across structures that each heat and cool differently. Modernizing a legacy boiler, adding ductless capacity to a guest space, zoning a farmhouse that’s grown wing by wing — it’s all routine here, and every job carries the same upfront, flat-rate price.
